Start here: Kaaf
Crisp watermelon, Sicilian orange and sea breeze over a strong ambroxan and musk base. Fresh fragrances are supposed to fade by lunch. Kaaf lasts ten to fourteen hours with projection that turns heads in an elevator. It is the single best fragrance for Karachi heat that we know of, and the one we recommend more than any other bottle in the catalog. Unisex, spring and summer, and remarkably good value.
The fresh side
Kaaf Noir is Kaaf’s evening twin: blood orange and juniper over dark wood, leaning masculine and working year round. Chill Spectrum is lighter and more casual, with pink grapefruit and coconut water for daytime. Blue by Ahmed is the office fragrance, grapefruit and mint over sandalwood in the mould of Bleu de Chanel, at a price that makes it an easy first purchase.
The oud side
This is the family business. Oud Roses is the gentlest introduction: Turkish rose, frankincense and sandalwood around a natural oud, twelve hours on skin and wearable in any season. Marj is the flagship: wild honey, saffron, pink pepper, leather and aged oud, fourteen hours and more, the fragrance to wear when you want to be remembered. Bin Shaikh is the most opulent bottle we sell, with Taif rose, bakhoor and aged agarwood, and projection we can only describe as monumental.
Summer Oud does what its name promises, pairing saffron and salted caramel with a lighter, sunlit oud that works in warm weather. Ignite Oud is the spicy, leathery masculine, and Black Fumes brings raspberry and cured tobacco to a dark oud base for winter nights. Laathani is candied fruit over burning bakhoor, the most traditionally Arabian of the range.
