The winter shortlist

Cold air holds fragrance close and slows it down, so this is the season for the heavy hitters. Khamrah and Khamrah Dukhan for spiced, boozy warmth. Asad for a peppery, coffee-laced masculine. Art of Arabia II and III when you want something that smells expensive at a wedding. Marj for the night you want to be remembered.

These are long-wearing by design. Most of them stay past twelve hours, so one application in the morning carries you through a dinner.

Asad is the crowd favourite: black pepper, coffee and tobacco with an amber base that lasts all day. His Confession is the more refined pick with cinnamon and iris. For maximum presence, Khamrah Dukhan.
