The short answer

Buy Yara (the pink bottle) if this is your first Yara or a gift: it is the most versatile and the one everyone recognises. Buy Yara Tous (yellow) if you want a summer perfume or you love tropical fruit; it is the better choice for Karachi from April to October. Choose Yara Moi (white) if you find the original too sweet and want something softer for the office. Choose Yara Candy only if you want the sweetest, most edible one for winter evenings. Yara Elixir is the newest and darkest, for people who already own and love the original.

What every Yara has in common

All five are soft, creamy, sweet women’s fragrances built on the same foundation: vanilla, a clean white musk and a light floral heart. None of them is sharp, smoky or heavy. They are designed to sit close to the skin and smell like a warm, expensive body cream rather than a cloud of perfume, which is exactly why Yara became one of the most searched fragrances in the world and Lattafa’s biggest seller with women in Pakistan.

They also share the same bottle, a tall rounded flacon with a silver X-shaped band and a round medallion, in a different colour for each version. Pink is the original, yellow is Tous, white is Moi. Yara (pink): the original, and still the one to start with

Yara opens with heliotrope, a sweet tangerine and orchid, then settles into a marshmallow and tropical-fruit gourmand heart before drying down to bourbon vanilla, white musk and a creamy sandalwood. On skin it reads as a strawberry milkshake with a powdery, floral edge. It is sweet, but the musk keeps it clean rather than syrupy, and that balance is why it works on a nineteen-year-old and a forty-five-year-old equally well.

Fans of Ariana Grande Cloud recognise the mood at once. Yara is fruitier and a little warmer where Cloud is airier and more powdery, and it costs a fraction of the price. On our customers in Karachi it lasts seven to nine hours with two sprays, projecting for the first two hours and then living as a skin scent. On a scarf or dupatta the vanilla is still there the next day.

Yara Tous (yellow): the summer one

Tous, launched in 2023, keeps the Yara base and swaps the strawberry for Alphonso mango, creamy coconut and passionfruit, with orange blossom and jasmine sambac in the heart and a cashmeran-vanilla drydown. It smells like a resort: sunscreen, ripe fruit and warm skin. People who wear Paco Rabanne Fame or Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance will find it familiar, and creamier than both.

This is the Yara we recommend most often between April and October. Heat and humidity make the original’s vanilla heavier, but Tous is built for exactly that weather, and it is also the longest-lasting of the family at eight to ten hours. It is the Yara for the beach, for daytime weddings in summer and for anyone in Karachi, Hyderabad or Lahore who wants sweet without heavy.

Yara Moi (white): the quiet office one

Moi arrived in 2022 as the grown-up Yara. Jasmine and peach lead, with a soft caramel and amber underneath, and the sweetness is dialled back to roughly half of the original. It is the one to wear where a strawberry milkshake would feel out of place: an office, a meeting, a formal dinner. Reviewers compare it to Marc Jacobs Perfect and Burberry Her.

The trade-off is performance. Moi sits closest to the skin of the whole family and lasts five to seven hours, so it needs three sprays where the original needs two. If you loved Yara for its sweetness, Moi will disappoint you. If you liked the idea of Yara but found it too much, Moi is your answer. Yara Candy: dessert first

Candy is the sweetest Yara by a wide margin. Black currant and green tangerine open it with a fizzy snap, then a strawberry-candy heart over gardenia, and an amber-vanilla base. It is unapologetically edible, in the direction of Ariana Grande Cloud Pink or a lighter Tom Ford Lost Cherry, and it is at its best in cold weather and in the evening. In a Karachi afternoon it is too much.

Buy it if you are the person who thinks most perfumes are not sweet enough. Skip it if you want a daily scent. Longevity is six to eight hours, similar to the original.

And Yara Elixir?

Elixir, released in 2025, is the richest version: black currant and strawberry on top, caramel in the heart, vanilla and amber underneath, with eight hours or more of wear once the bottle has settled for a few weeks. Think of it as Yara for winter nights. It makes sense as a second Yara, not a first, and we will add it to the shop once we can source sealed stock at a fair price.

Which Yara for Pakistani weather

This is where most online reviews, written for the UK or the US, stop being useful. In 35-degree humidity a sweet vanilla perfume behaves differently: it projects more in the first hour and then turns heavier and syrupier as it warms. So the rule for Yara in Pakistan is simple.

• April to October, daytime: Yara Tous. The mango and coconut are built for heat, and it lasts longer than the original.
• November to March, and air-conditioned days all year: the original Yara. Cool air is where the strawberry milkshake is at its best.
• Office, any month: Yara Moi if you can find it sealed, otherwise the original at two sprays on clothing rather than skin.
• Winter evenings and weddings: Yara Candy or Elixir, or the original layered with a spray of Khamrah on the wrist.

What Yara should cost in Pakistan, and the price that should worry you

In 2026 a sealed 100ml Yara or Yara Tous from a reputable Pakistani seller costs between Rs. 7,500 and Rs. 8,000, and the variants are usually priced the same. Ours are Rs. 7,700 each with the batch code visible through the cellophane before you break the seal. You will also see Yara listed at Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 5,500 on marketplaces. Sometimes that is a genuine clearance. More often it is a refilled bottle, a decant in a resealed box or a copy, because Yara is the most-copied women’s fragrance in the Lattafa range.

The good news is that Yara is easy to verify. The batch code on the base of the bottle must match the code on the box, and it must return a recent production date on a public batch checker. A copy fails at least one of those three points almost every time.

Can you own both Yara and Yara Tous?

Yes, and it is the combination we sell most often together, because they cover opposite halves of the year. Many of our customers also layer them: one spray of Yara Tous on the wrists and one of the original on the collar gives a mango-strawberry cream that neither does alone, and it lasts longer than either. Which Yara should you buy?

• Your first Yara, or a gift for someone whose taste you do not know: the original pink Yara.
• You live in Karachi, Lahore or anywhere hot and want it for daytime: Yara Tous.
